Our Holiday Party
Holiday parties bring thoughts of women in sparking dresses and high heel shoes and men in suits with freshly starched shirts, exquisite dinners, and lots of friends. At Advanced Dentistry by Design, our Christmas party is spent in jeans and tennis shoes in Wal-Mart, North Carson with a sack lunch.
We have once again chosen to forgo a traditional party and instead participate in Holiday with a Hero, which has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 16th. Last year, the event had almost 200 students attend. This year nearly 400 students pre-K to 12th grade are expected at the event. The students are chosen from the Children in Transition program, which offers free and reduced school lunches to Carson City students.
At the event, students will be provided lunch and paired with a Hero to use their $100.00 gift card and have the opportunity to see Santa who will arrive in a Care Flight helicopter.
To donate, anyone can drop off money to the Sheriff’s Office, one of the schools, or at Bank of the West. All checks should be made out to Holiday with a Hero. It is a non-profit 501(c) organization, so donations are tax deductible.
The organization is also taking non-monetary donations such as wrapping paper, bags, bows, and gift tags, which can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office and our office, 403 W. Nye Lane, Carson City.
