My insurance did not cover what was estimated, what should I do now?
First, review your explanation of benefits (EOB) thoroughly to make sure that the claim was processed according to your plan benefits. Many times what is perceived to be a problem between your doctor and you, is really an issue between you and your insurance company. If the treatment completed was pre-authorized, review the claim, the pre-authorization, and payment for accuracy. If it is incorrect, contact your carrier. Insurance information provided by your dental office and the actual billing, is done as a courtesy and does not guarantee coverage and/or payment. If you do have an outstanding balance, contact your Carson City dental office to see if payment arrangements can be made.
