Meet our new Dental Assistant Kristan
My dental career started as a fluke over 14 years ago when my friend helped me obtain a position as a sterilization tech with the orthodontist she worked for. That was how it began. 14+ years later and I am still loving what I do!
I am a native Nevadan having lived in Reno, Gardnerville and Carson City. I graduated in 1993 from Douglas High School. After graduation, I moved away and have lived in Las Vegas, Sacramento and the Bay Area but always felt the pull to come back home. Upon moving home, I was blessed to have the opportunity to work with a general dentist who was willing to train me on the job and show me the ropes. I am very thankful he did because dentistry is what I love! The best part of my job is the people I have the privilege of working with and the people I get to meet everyday. I strive to make every dental visit the best it can be and make the patients feel comfortable and welcome.
I am the proud wife to my husband, Matt, and the very lucky Mama to Tony (19), Makenzie (17), Zacary (8) and Lucas (19mos). When I’m not chairside or spending time with my amazing family, you can find me singing my heart out with my band, Jake’s Garage 5.0, or with my live band karaoke group, Karaoke Rockstarz! My family is also very active in our community working with my daughter’s kindness groups (Be the Stone and the Kindness Krew) volunteering at various local events, fundraisers and anything where kindness and love is spread! I may be busy but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way! I look forward to spending many wonderful years with my family at Advanced Dentistry by Design and making a difference in our patients lives!
