I have exciting news I wanted to share with you! The Nevada State Dental Board has just issued a release that dentists in Nevada can now administer Botox and dermal fillers.
It is with great pleasure to announce that I will now be offering Botox as a service to our patients! We will be sending out more information as well as facts and commonly asked questions regarding Botox via our Advanced Dentistry by Design Facebook page and email, so keep an eye out.
Why would my dentist offer Botox?
Dentists deal with the head and neck region more than most physicians. Additionally, dentists administer injections all day long, and are thus very adept with the fine motor skills needed to administer Botox.
I became interested and introduced to Botox when I was at a dental course. I have since attended lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on courses with a variety of professionals including dentists, physicians, nurses, and physician assistants. It became apparent in lectures that my dental training and experience involving the facial muscles placed me in an advantageous position within these groups. In effect, I already knew the anatomical content that some were learning for the first time. Additionally, I had the experience of handling and administering a variety of injections.
